Enoch has always been a hard worker, determined to build a better future despite the many challenges that come with growing up in Uganda. Like many young people in his country, Enoch faced tremendous obstacles in his pursuit of education. After working tirelessly to reach his final year of school, he hit a heartbreaking roadblock—he couldn’t afford his final school fees. Without them, he would be unable to take his final exams or graduate. Years of effort seemed on the verge of being lost.

But God had another plan.

Through the Sheila Byrd Foundation’s local pastoral team, we learned of Enoch’s situation. Moved by his perseverance and spirit, we stepped in to cover his remaining school fees. More than that, our local pastor, Ally Ziraba, walked alongside Enoch—not only supporting him academically but ministering to him spiritually.

This year, Enoch joined our team on one of our outreach projects. Not as a recipient of help—but as a servant of Christ. With boldness and humility, he preached the Gospel and witnessed several new believers publicly profess faith in Jesus.

Life in Uganda remains full of challenges. But today, Enoch faces them with hope, purpose, and the eternal security found in Christ. And he is now sharing that hope with everyone who will listen.
